Tom Barnett's great-grandfather began a hide rendering business, well-known in the fur trade for honesty and integrity. In a 1939 article Tom’s grandfather said, "A satisfied customer is the best asset any business can have." Though the products and services have changed, our focus on customer service has not. This original safe remained in our original office since 1906 as a reminder of what we stand for.
Mid-America Merchandising, Inc. was established on May 4 by Tom and Carol Barnett, providing complete program management and fulfillment from concept to execution.
Tom sold MMI's in-house cut and sew operation to his workers, giving them the opportunity to continue to produce locally made, eco-friendly cotton tote bags.

Lisa embarked on her journey in the Promotional Products Industry immediately after earning her degree from Saint Louis University in 1998. Her extensive experience spans both the Supplier and Distributor sides of the industry, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of its intricacies. Since joining MMI in 2008, Lisa has been instrumental in driving the organization's growth. Her dedication to creating efficient processes and automated systems has significantly enhanced operations, reduced overhead costs, and ensured the delivery of top-tier products and services at competitive prices. Outside of her professional endeavors, Lisa cherishes quality time with her family and enjoys camping, fishing, and biking.
